About Andrew
The Short
My name is Andrew Le. I am a designer, web application developer, artist, tanguero, judoka, and writer in Santa Barbara, CA.
The Long
Seriously, I actually do all those things. I graduated from the University of California in sunny, picturesque Santa Barbara in June 2007 with a bachelor of science in chemistry and a minor in professional writing. I’ve been designing and developing websites since 1998 and wrote my first line of PHP in 2004.
In my spare time, I exercise by practicing judo and Brazilian jujitsu and dancing tango (the real Argentinean stuff) until the sun comes up. I exercise my right brain by pulling the shutter on my Nikon D50 and FG cameras, dragging a Faber-Castell art pen around on a blank page, and playing guitar. I am the principal at Alchemist Creative and bill myself as a designer extraordinnare and rockstar web developer.
There’s not enough time in the day.
I cook my own meals and I’m not so bad at it either.
About Andymism
Andymism is nifty little playground for me to express myself through writing, design, drawing, and photography. I use Andymism as a life-stream/multi-media blog sort of thing and I generally write about the things that knock my socks off, twirl my brains, boil my blood, or make me laugh.
The views and opinions I publish on Andymism are probably, but not necessarily, (but very possibly) related to those of Alchemist Creative.
There’s an RSS feed. I’m on Facebook looking at your profile, on Flickr laughing at your pictures, and on Twitter tweeting about you. Friends are trying to convince me to get a MySpace and a LinkedIn, but I’m highly doubtful of any possible added value.
Colophon
This website is coded with some pretty standards compliant (X)HTML and CSS with Wordpress running under the hood and some custom PHP magic of my own doing. Many of the drawings and photos you on this site are hosted on Flickr. Transparent PNGs are used with caution (and care) thrown to the wind about their compatibility with IE6 (they aren’t).
